The world-famous fashion designer, Blanka Matragi, is coming to the Municipal House with a new exhibition, following up on her successful exhibition in 2006. This exhibition held in the Gaming Parlours will present primarily dresses and accessories but also glass, porcelain, sculptures, chandeliers and graphic art among others.

 

Next, 13th annual Days of design in Prague Designblok´11

Designblok is the annual week-long exhibition of new pieces from the world of design. Designblok takes place in selected showrooms, boutiques, and galleries situated all over Prague. Accompanying programme including the presentation of designers, design studios and Créme de la Créme project where manufacturers are presented in special instalations and can be find in the centre of accompanying programme called Superstudio of Designblok.

The 13th year brings presentations of new designs, exhibitions, fashion shows, and lectures at many places in Prague, including galleries, exhibition halls, and prestigious showrooms with top design and fashion items. This year, all events are concentrated in three main zones that are traditionally linked with design in Prague, i.e. Holešovice, Karlín, plus Staré and Nové Město.

They break some automatisms with which we are used to perceive our city. Talking about “sustainability”, “traffic calming” and “city livability” is far to remote and even boring for most people.
